Dr. Ben Brashear

Benjamin Brashear, M.D., is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, and is the Physician-owner of Brashear Family Medical (BFM).

Dr. Brashear founded BFM in 2007, and he is passionate about providing excellent Primary Care to his patients. He also has additional training in Hospice and Palliative Care, and was board certified in Hospice in 2010. He has served as a Medical Staff officer at Texas Health Kaufman for over 15 years.

Since 2008, he has also served as Medical Director of several local skilled nursing facilities in and around the Kaufman area. He continues to serve as a Director of the Kaufman Economic Development Corporation, and remains an active participant in the Kaufman community.

Dr. Brashear received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX in 1997. He then graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX in 2001, and went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation (now Waco Family Medicine Institute) in Waco, Texas in 2004.

In his free time, Dr. Brashear enjoys traveling and spending time with his two adult children, Maddie and Sam!
